Five minutes of prep could yield a relatively easy at home art project for the kiddos. For example, wetting the the tissue paper squares to make a watercolor like mosaic is so creative. At the end of the class, you can grab your bag and everything is inside! Such a great organization idea!Īs a mom, I loved the variety of projects available – without the clean up! Also, it gave me some new ideas for possible art times at home. She also took the completed projects and added them to a huge paper bag, which had the child’s name on it. Parents are encouraged to create alongside their kids as well!Ī nice touch is an assistant, who is there to help children if needed. On the side walls were three easels set up for painting, plus a huge mock window for painting and markers! (Yes, on the window - our four year old LOVED this!) Children are welcome to come and go from the tables, and make as many of the offered projects as they want. The five tables had stencils and coloring, simple bracelet making, water colors with coffee filters, geometric tissue paper shapes for gluing and stamps. We went from table to table as the kids desired, checking out the activities. The class was not guided by a instructor, but more of a free style learning experience. You can’t help but smile as you walk around and see the fabulous wall and floor paintings that Rachel has added! Having no expectations, it was exciting to walk into the studio and immediately be welcomed with color! The area is a mixture of craft tables and play areas, with the huge wooden playhouse being an immediate draw to our kids. We visited recently for an hour Paint With a Pal class. They welcome ages 18 months to 8 years old. Rachel’s Young At Art Studio in Scottsdale is the perfect place for children to express their creativity and ideas through art.
